The Board

The Board of the Sue Ryder Foundation give their time, skills and experience in a voluntary capacity. They are legally responsible for the governance of the company and ensure that we operate within the confines of company and charity legislation.

Pat Breslin

Mr Patrick Breslin

Pat and his family operate a very successful Estate Agency and Auctioneering business in his native Blackrock, Co Dublin. Pat has provided much advice and assistance with regard to properties and shop leases.

Mrs Margaret Dowley

Margaret has been active all her life in charitable work.

Mr Nicholas Mckenna

Nicholas is a successful business man and entrepreneur who is living in Northern Ireland. He joined the Board in 2000.

Robert Reid

Mr Frank Quilter

Frank is the newest Board member. He is a Kerryman living in Ballybunion. He has wide experience in fund raising and event management as well as being as astute business man.

Mr Robert Reid

Robert has worked all his life in the rag trade in manufacturing, wholesaling and retail. He is the main agent in a large multi national clothing company and covers the whole of Ireland

Mr Andrew Cole

Andy is a long serving member of the Sue Ryder Foundation, he has extensive experience of business and especially international aid.

He was developing world project evaluator for GORTA, Head of Peatland Research with the Agricultural Institute 1960-65, Head of Study Team to Lesotho 1976, European Commission Expert and Technical Advisor 1977 - 89, Head of International Affairs in Agricultural and Food Development Authority 1989-94, Private Development Consultant in Belarus 1994-98.
