8/11/07 - Minister for Older People Visits Holycross Scheme

The Foundation were delighted to welcome the newly appointed Minister for Older People, Márie Hoctor TD.

The Minister as a local TD was well aware of the Sue Ryder Scheme in Holycross and knew many of the tenants. She spoke to all the tenants over lunch and was impressed by the scheme and our model of support

6/4/07 - RTE visits Kilminchy

The Kilminchy scheme was delighted to host RTE's Nationwide programme. The film crew spent the whole day inspecting and filming many aspects of the life of the tenants and staff in Kilminchy.

Everyone was struck by the lengthy process involved for just a few short minutes of actual programming.

The film focused on the lives of our tenants and how they enjoy living in a Sue Ryder scheme. Many of the tenants were interviewed and the stories of Niall Cantwell were broadcast.
